Your Litigation Response Plan must document your servers, computers, and numerous other devices. For instance, PDAs (Personal Data Assistants) such as cell phones, iPhones, Blackberries, Trios, Palm and other devices may contain important data.

For example, if you think about your cell phone, who is listed in your favorites for auto dial?  These are the most important people you know and call frequently. One way to verify if a person knows or has contact with an important witness in a case is to check their PDA or cell phone.

Other devices that may contain important data include: digital cameras, GPS devices, portable hard drives, and thumb drives. These devices may all contain evidence that is subject to litigation. Make sure your Litigation Response Plan addresses these devices.
