Your Litigation Response Plan must include information about electronic data processing – in other words, how will files and data be made searchable and reviewable by your litigation support staff. Include effective and accurate culling strategies, this is further discussed in another video.

Choose how data will be processed and what method(s) will be used for production (TIFF, PDF, native files, or paper). Become familiar with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) which can be found at www.edrm.net. All stages of the EDRM should be included in your Litigation Response Plan, whether you process electronic data in‑house or use outside vendors.
